FIFTY FIFTY Sets New Record with 9 Consecutive Weeks on Billboard Singles Chart
'Cupid' Ranks 18th on Billboard 'Hot 100'
Achieves No. 1 on Global Charts Excluding the US
Girl group Fifty Fifty's hit song 'Cupid' has successfully entered the US Billboard main chart 'Hot 100' for 9 consecutive weeks.
On the 23rd (local time), Billboard revealed that 'Cupid' ranked 18th on the 'Hot 100', dropping one spot from the previous week.
The previous longest entry record on the 'Hot 100' for a K-pop girl group was 8 weeks, achieved by BLACKPINK's collaboration with Selena Gomez on 'Ice Cream' in 2020, but 'Cupid' set a new record by entering the chart for 9 consecutive weeks.
'Cupid' rose one spot to claim 1st place on the 'Global (excluding US)' chart.
This marks the third time a K-pop group has topped this chart, following BTS and BLACKPINK.
Additionally, 'Cupid' has shown its 'girls of records' status by ranking 2nd on the 'Global 200' and entering the 'Streaming Songs Top 10' for 6 consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, besides Fifty Fifty, several other K-pop groups also appeared on the Billboard charts released that day.
BTS member Jimin's solo song 'Like Crazy' ranked 39th on the 'Global 200' chart, marking 8 consecutive weeks on the chart.
August D, also from the same group, released his first official solo album 'D-Day', which ranked 51st on the 'Billboard 200' chart.
