Under the Theme ‘Everyone, Harmony,’ the Festival Presents a Stage Where Anyone Can Participate Beyond Gender, Age, Culture, and Nationality
Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the ‘2023 D.FESTA Daehakro Street Performance Festival’ around Marronnier Park in Daehakro from the 26th to the 28th.
Started to spread the culture of performances outside traditional theaters, this year marks the 17th edition of the festival. Organized by the Korea Small Theater Association (Chairman Lim Jeonghyeok), it offers a chance to experience various art genres including theater, dance, music, and musicals.
This year’s theme, ‘Everyone, Harmony,’ aims to create a time where anyone can come together through street performances, transcending gender, age, culture, and nationality. The festival will present three co-produced performances, five invited shows, and six specially planned invitation performances.
The co-produced performances include ▲ Theater troupe Majungmul’s Yeonhiguk (traditional Korean play) 'P.R.N.D (Parking, Reverse, Neutral, Drive)' ▲ Theater troupe Shin Inryu’s musical 'Together' ▲ A fusion of Bukcheong Lion Play and waacking dance titled 'Siseon, Line and Evil.'
The specially planned invitation performances feature ▲ SS’s 'More Than Everything' ▲ Karandouetto’s 'Duet Ensemble' ▲ T.L’s 'Electronic String Instrument T.L' ▲ Perry Blue’s 'Crossing the Sea, Flying the Sky, Singing' ▲ Netfreeze’s 'KPOP DANCE That Captivates Everyone and Freezes Them' ▲ With Ensemble’s 'Musical Stories I Want to Tell You.'
The invited performances include the theater talk concert 'Park with Songs,' Joy Magic’s 'Magic Show Opening Hearts Together,' The Tune’s 'On Tiptoes,' Wheelers’ 'I HAT U,' and fusion gugak band Granada’s stage, all preparing to meet the audience.
