The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 24th that it has signed a 'Business Agreement for Supporting Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Excellent Agro-Bio and Bio Companies' with the Jeonbuk Bio Convergence Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee Eun-mi, hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Agency).
This agreement was established to build an organic cooperative system between the two organizations to discover small and medium-sized enterprises in the Jeonbuk region possessing excellent technologies and to create a technology innovation ecosystem. Through this, it plans to foster the agro-bio and bio industry in the Jeonbuk region by promoting the commercialization of technologies held by the Promotion Agency, such as strengthening technology transfer and technology finance support for local green bio startup companies.
According to the agreement, the Promotion Agency will recommend excellent technology startup companies within the region to Kibo, and Kibo will comprehensively support the recommended companies with financial and non-financial services such as technology evaluation guarantees and technology transfer. Additionally, Kibo will contribute to the development of the Honam region's bio convergence industry by supporting startup assistance, research and development, and strengthening innovation capabilities for agro-bio and bio companies.

Kim Young-tak, Head of Kibo's Honam Regional Headquarters, said, "Through this agreement, we expect the activation of startup and innovative growth of excellent agro-bio and bio companies in Jeollabuk-do." He added, "Going forward, Kibo will continue to expand cooperative projects with regional institutions to contribute to job creation and economic development in the region."
