Establishing a Mutual Cooperation System to Prevent Fatal Accidents on Highways
The 5th District Highway Patrol Unit of the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency and the Gwangju Branch of the Korea Expressway Corporation's Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters announced on the morning of the 23rd that they have signed a business agreement to prevent fatal accidents on highways.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Ahn Byeong-no, Chief of the 5th District Highway Patrol Unit, and Park Jeong-min, Head of the Gwangju Branch of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters. The agreement was established to build a mutual cooperation system between the institutions for practical prevention of fatal accidents, including facility improvements.
In particular, they agreed to actively share progress on safety management at highway construction sites and prevention of secondary accidents, and to cooperate on matters requiring collaboration such as joint campaigns and crackdowns to improve traffic culture.
