Hapcheon-gun Hosts 2023 International Exchange Council Workshop
Strengthening Commitment to Active International Exchange and Vibrant Activities
The International Exchange Council of Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that it held the 2023 International Exchange Council Workshop in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the county office, with about 30 committee members in attendance.
The workshop on this day proceeded with the council chairman's greeting, a lecture by an invited distinguished guest, and the progress of the 2023 international exchange projects.
The invited lecture was delivered passionately by Jeong Ki-young, former president of Busan University of Foreign Studies and former director of the Busan International Exchange Foundation and the International Exchange Center at Busan University of Foreign Studies, under the theme "Current Status and Development Plans of Hapcheon-gun's International Exchange." Based on various activities and experiences related to international exchange, he discussed the necessity of international exchange and ways to revitalize Hapcheon-gun's international exchange.
Following this, he explained projects aimed at resuming exchanges with overseas sister cities, which had become distant due to COVID-19, and the committee members shared their opinions, taking time to strengthen their commitment to active international exchange activities.

Chairman Kim Ki-jong said, "I thank the committee members who attended despite their busy schedules. This is an important time to resume exchanges with overseas sister cities that were cut off due to COVID-19, so vigorous activities of the International Exchange Council are required more than anything else," and added, "I ask for the committee members' active participation and interest."
