The Publishing Culture Association Selects 'The Most Fun and Enjoyable Book in Korea'
The Korea Publishing Culture Association has selected and announced the "Best Books in Korea." Divided into three categories, following the announcement of the "Most Beautiful Books in Korea" in March, this time they announced the "Most Interesting Books in Korea" and the "Most Enjoyable Books in Korea."
For the "Most Interesting Books in Korea," a total of 10 works were selected: 5 comics through the Korea Comics Publishing Association and 5 web novels through the Korea Web Novel Association.
In the comics category, the selected titles are ▲ “I Decided to Die” (YUJU, Naver Webtoon) ▲ “Acorn Cultural Center” (Nanda, Munhakdongne) ▲ “Distorted Comics” (Yurang, Joheun Saenggak) ▲ “Some Comics” (OOO (Jeong Sewon), Your Mind) ▲ “Youth Blossom” (written by Hong Deok, illustrated by NEMONE, Jaedam Media).
In the web novel category, the five final selections are ▲ “The Master is All of You” (Gones) ▲ “Spring Shade” (Kim Chacha) ▲ “Tsunami of Glory” (Haje) ▲ “The Rogue Guard Captain in Medieval Fantasy” (Gomdolineun) ▲ “Reincarnated as Danjong’s Nursemaid” (Yoon Insu).
In the children’s book category, the "Most Enjoyable Books in Korea," 10 books were selected through joint judging by the Korea Children’s Publishing Council and the Korea Children’s Publishing Union.
The selected books include ▲ “The Forest Ramen Shop Even Ghosts Love” (written by Lee Seoyoung, illustrated by Song Hyojung, Crayon House) ▲ “Frozen Frozen Frozen Ice Cream” (Yoon Jeongju, Chaek Ilneun Gom) ▲ “It’s Absurd but It’s Science 1” (written by Won Jongwoo and Choi Hyangsook, illustrated by Kim Seongyeon, Wiseman House), among 10 titles.

The awards ceremony will be held on June 14 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, during the 2023 Seoul International Book Fair. At the event, one title from the "Most Beautiful Books in Korea," which was not disclosed at the time of the March announcement, will also be revealed.
