Celebrating 60 Years of Korea-Canada Diplomatic Relations
Ourhome announced on the 22nd that it sponsored the 'Canada Veterans Gapyeong Battle Site Forest Trail Project,' which was promoted to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korean War armistice and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada.
At the commemorative ceremony for the 'Canada Veterans Gapyeong Battle Site Forest Trail Project' held on the 18th at the Canada Veterans Monument site in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, attendees included Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, Seo Tae-won, Mayor of Gapyeong County, and Lee Dong-hoon, Vice President of Ourhome.
The Gapyeong Battle Site Forest Trail, which began construction in 2021 following a proposal from the Canadian side, is a 1.6 km forest trail. In section D, at Hill 677, there is a rest area called Canada House, featuring a hexagonal pavilion.
An Ourhome official said, "We are honored to be able to sponsor a project that confirms the friendship between Korea and Canada and commemorates the Korean War armistice. We deeply appreciate the noble sacrifices and dedication of the two countries' national heroes and will strive to ensure this continues for a long time."

Meanwhile, the late Chairman Gu Ja-hak, founder of Ourhome, was also a Korean War veteran who entered the Naval Academy in 1947 and was discharged as a major in 1959.
