Cool Festival to Beat the Heat! … Silla University Hosts Daedongje
Silla University held the ‘Daedongje Festival with Local Residents’ for two days starting from the 17th to cool down the summer heat.
On the 17th and 18th, Silla University announced on the 19th that it hosted a festival under the theme ‘2023 Busan World Expo Bid Prayer · Daedongje Festival with Local Residents’ at the university’s main stadium.
The festival featured a total of 33 booths, including the student council, medical support booths, event support and promotion booths, as well as various vendor booths including food trucks, providing students with diverse experiences and food options.
On the stage set up at the main stadium, events that everyone could participate in and enjoy, such as mini-games, Love Chopsticks, and OX quizzes, were held, along with ‘Silla Got Talent,’ a stage for students to showcase their talents.
The highlight of the festival was the invited singer performances, which started with a refreshing performance by Lee Youngji, the winner of High School Rapper, followed by powerful vocal and performance shows by singers Kik5o, 2F (Shin Yongjae, Kim Wonju), and DK, cooling down the summer heat.
Especially on the second day of the festival, the 18th, despite the rainy weather, many students participated and enjoyed the exciting atmosphere, culminating in a spectacular fireworks festival to close the Daedongje Festival.
Professor Jang Hee-jung, Director of Student Support at Silla University, said, “As Silla University contributes to the local community in various ways, this festival was also held under the theme ‘Praying for the 2030 Busan World Expo Bid and Daedongje Festival with Local Residents at Silla University.’”
