This fair is organized to alleviate the admission anxiety of examinees and parents, provide strategies to respond to rapidly changing admission processes, strengthen the region's educational competitiveness, and nurture talented individuals.
With participation from over 50 universities nationwide, including Sogang University, Chung-Ang University, and Kyungpook National University, the fair will offer various programs such as one-on-one admission counseling with university admission officers tailored to different admission processes, one-on-one counseling with current admission teachers, and mentoring by students from prestigious universities. These programs aim to resolve the concerns and questions of local examinees and parents and support diverse information and customized admission planning.
All booths at the fair are open to students, parents, and any interested citizens without prior reservation, allowing on-site registration. Admission brochures for early admissions from each university and promotional materials will be provided, including brochures from some universities that are not participating.
Jung Jin-cheol, Director of the Education and Youth Division, stated, "Pohang City is implementing various support policies to maximize the potential of our local students in line with the complex and diverse college admission processes. We hope that through this fair, students will establish successful admission strategies and become outstanding future talents representing the region."
Pohang City plans to hold a "College Admission Counseling Camp" in August, where professional admission consultants will assist with customized college admission strategies. This event is targeted at high school seniors preparing for early admissions, with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the end of July.
