On the 17th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the inauguration ceremony of the "2023 Changwon City Children's Council" at the City Hall Citizen Hall to realize children's participation rights.
At the inauguration ceremony, attended by 80 people including children, parents, and institutions/organizations, the appointment of child council members took place along with the commissioning of children's council coordinators, the oath-taking of child council members, and the announcement of their activity plans and aspirations for the year.

Starting with the inauguration ceremony, the child council members will hold regular meetings at least twice a month until the end of the year, engaging in various activities such as discovering, discussing, and proposing policies, visiting the city council and the National Assembly, and directly or indirectly participating in and monitoring the establishment of child-related policies necessary for the child-friendly city of Changwon.
