The recent update on the zebra 'Sero,' who caused a commotion by breaking through the zoo fence and escaping into downtown Seoul last March, has been revealed. He is soon expected to meet his girlfriend 'Koko.'
On the 15th, Sero's latest status was shared on the Seoul Facilities Corporation's YouTube channel 'SeosigongTV.'
SeosigongTV stated, "Thanks to the warm support and affection from many citizens and the focused care of our staff, Sero is eating well, sleeping well, relieving himself well, and living comfortably," adding, "Koko, who will be Sero the zebra's companion for life, is coming." They also revealed images of Koko.

They continued, "Currently, construction is underway to double the size of the existing enclosure," and added, "Cool shade and shelter trees are waiting. Let's all meet again in good health."
The zebra Sero made headlines on March 23 by breaking through the fence of the Seoul Children's Grand Park zoo and roaming the streets of downtown Seoul. At that time, Sero was captured after being hit with seven tranquilizer darts over about three hours.
Sero's zoo escape story attracted global attention, being reported by major international media outlets such as CNN, BBC, and NBC. Various parodies related to Sero also drew public interest.
At the time, it was reported that Sero, having lost his parents at a young age and experiencing sudden environmental changes, felt lonely and showed increased rebellious behavior, evoking sympathy.
Meanwhile, news that Sero now has a girlfriend has sparked congratulations from netizens, with comments like "Sero, be happy," and "That's great. Now walk only on flower paths with your girlfriend."
