Korea Forest Service Hosts Startup Competition Utilizing Public and Big Data in Forestry Sector
The Korea Forest Service announced on the 17th that from June 17 to July 10, it will hold the "2023 Forest Public and Big Data Utilization Startup Competition" in collaboration with the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute, Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Service, Korea Forestry Promotion Institute, and Korea Hiking and Trekking Support Center.
Anyone can apply for the competition through the public application website. After receiving applications, the Korea Forest Service plans to select the final 10 winning teams in September through document evaluation (July) and presentation evaluation (August), and award prizes.
A total prize money of 19 million KRW will be given to the winning teams. In particular, the two teams awarded the Grand Prize (Korea Forest Service Commissioner Award) will also have the opportunity to participate in the finals of the 11th Public Data Utilization Startup Competition hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
