"Poland Will Become a Land of Opportunity"
The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 17th that from the 7th to the 13th, it dispatched a trade delegation consisting of five Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone resident companies to the Warsaw and Ł?d? regions of Poland to pioneer overseas markets for resident companies, and visited local related organizations to promote the Free Economic Zone and attract investment.
This trade delegation included five resident companies within the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone: JS Techwin Co., Ltd., Incoa, CoviBio, Living Care, and Avocado Technologies, along with 47 local buyers participating in export consultation meetings. Among Eastern European countries that have recently attracted domestic and international attention, aggressive marketing targeted two Polish cities to promote the excellence of regional companies' products and explore various opportunities to expand exports by discovering new business partners.
Seojunseok, CEO of JS Techwin Co., Ltd., who participated in the export consultation meeting, said, “Local Polish buyers showed great interest in various products such as portable radiation detectors, Korean textiles, herbal foods, functional cosmetics, and water purifiers,” adding, “The participating companies had meaningful business trips with contract consultations totaling approximately 1.9 million USD.”
At the consultation venue in Warsaw, the head of the KOTRA Warsaw Trade Center and officials from the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce visited, attentively listening to product explanations from participating companies and promising to actively cooperate in promoting these products locally in Poland and connecting with buyers in related industries in the future.
Additionally, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority plans to provide continuous management and generous support for necessary measures according to circumstances to ensure that contract consultations achieved through buyer discovery, consultation arrangement, and interpretation support in Poland lead to actual contracts in the future.
Lee Eun-ah, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, “With the Russia-Ukraine war and global inflation, it is very difficult for export companies to pioneer overseas markets,” adding, “Once the war ends and normalcy returns, Poland will become a land of opportunity in many ways, and we will provide multifaceted support so that DGFEZ resident companies can actively engage in business activities at the center of this.”
