This inspection will be carried out jointly by the province, city and county officials, and private experts, alongside independent inspections by the cities and counties.
According to the current Building Management Act, the inspection targets are 307 construction sites in 12 cities, including Seongnam-si, that have received demolition permits.
The main inspection items include ▲ the adequacy of pedestrian safety facilities, protection and prevention nets against falling objects ▲ the installation and deformation status of external scaffolding and temporary construction fences ▲ compliance with the demolition plan ▲ securing drainage channels and management of sedimentation tanks and sewage pipelines.
Gyeonggi Province will issue immediate correction orders on-site for urgent matters found during the inspection, request corrections from building owners for necessary actions, and take administrative measures such as filing complaints and imposing fines if violations of laws are confirmed.
