New COVID-19 Cases 23,680... About 2,000 More Than Last Week (Update)
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 16th that there were 23,680 new confirmed COVID-19 cases (cumulative total of 31,438,960 cases).
The number of new cases increased by 16,502 compared to the previous day (7,178 cases), which had decreased due to the weekend effect. Compared to a week ago on the 9th (21,675 cases), it increased by 2,005 cases.
Among the new confirmed cases, 34 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized remained the same as the previous day at 150.
There were 13 new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the cumulative total to 34,623 (fatality rate 0.11%).
