Busan Office of Education Holds 'Regional Media Education Council' Meeting
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a 'Regional Linked Media Education Council' on the 17th at 4 p.m. at the Dongnae Nongshim Hotel, targeting local media education-related institution officials and leading media education teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools.
This council aims to strengthen school media education by collaborating with institutions in the Busan area that operate media education for students, parents, and teachers.
Twenty-five participants, including officials from the Busan branch of the Korea Press Foundation, the Busan Viewer Media Center, and leading media education teachers, will attend the council.
They will share media education resources and programs from their respective institutions and discuss ways to utilize them in school classes.
Additionally, Researcher Lee Seong-cheol from the Children's Creative Education Center will deliver a keynote lecture on "Effective Media Education Operation Using Regional Resources." The researcher will introduce the importance and examples of media education utilizing regional resources.
Twelve leading teachers plan to develop teaching support materials related to media education by October based on the opinions gathered at the council. These materials will consist of lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, edutech-utilized videos, and activity sheets.
The Office of Education plans to distribute these materials to schools at all levels through the digital literacy support site 'Dilit.'
