Cheongsong-gun Promotes 1:1 Partnership Program for Elderly Living Alone
The Cheongsong-gun Women's Volunteer Association (President Choi Minhwa) will carry out the '1:1 Sponsorship Project for Elderly People Without Family Support' from May to December.
This project in Cheongsong-gun targets 24 elderly individuals without family support who either have no children or are estranged from their children and family. Through 1:1 sponsorship with volunteers, the project provides meals prepared by the volunteers on Parents' Day and holidays, presents carnations, delivers consolation gifts, and offers companionship.
Additionally, the project plans to regularly check on the elderly to help provide emotional stability by ensuring they do not feel depression or loneliness.
President Choi Minhwa said, "It is rewarding to be able to play the role of children for elderly people living alone, and I will continue to strive to support their emotional well-being."
