According to the Jeju Maritime Police Station on that day, Chief So visited the maritime police patrol vessel pier at Jeju Port Pier 7 to inspect safety management guidance, working conditions, and exclusive pier facilities to prevent safety accidents in accordance with the vessel operation management regulations.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., using a 500-ton patrol vessel and the coastal rescue boat of Chuja Police Substation, he patrolled the waters near Chuja Police Substation and Chuja Island, inspecting safety in coastal areas such as fishing uninhabited islands and checking the Jeju↔Chuja Island ferry routes, conducting on-site security inspections to respond to maritime accidents and prevent safety incidents.
A Jeju Maritime Police official said, “As the improving weather continues, many anglers are flocking to Chuja Island, increasing the risk of various accidents. We will do our best to implement a systematic and field-strong trusted maritime police by continuously conducting life-saving training for accident response.”
