New COVID-19 Cases 19,989... About 1,200 More Than Last Week (Update)
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 12th that there were 19,989 new confirmed COVID-19 cases (cumulative total of 31,371,675 cases).
The number of new cases decreased by 585 compared to the previous day (20,574 cases). It increased by 1,237 compared to a week ago on the 5th (18,752 cases).
Among the new confirmed cases, 17 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized was 153, a decrease of 4 from the previous day.
There were 8 new COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the cumulative total to 34,591 (fatality rate 0.11%).
