S-OIL Spent 95 Million KRW on Ulsan Volunteer Support Project
Support for Volunteer Services Linked to Social Welfare Facilities
S-OIL generously donated 95 million KRW to be used for volunteer projects in the Ulsan area.
On the 11th, S-OIL delivered the project fund for the ‘Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Activity Support’ to the Ulsan Volunteer Center at Ulsan City Hall, attended by Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, S-OIL Vice President Lee Young-baek, and Kim Seok-won, Chairman of the Ulsan Volunteer Center.
The 95 million KRW fund delivered that day will be used for the ‘Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Program Support Project,’ which involves people with disabilities, the elderly, and youth, as well as for operating the ‘Clear Sunshine Tomorrow Project,’ an indoor wall greening project aimed at improving the environment of social welfare facilities.
The operation and management of volunteer activities will be handled by the Ulsan Volunteer Center.

View original imageThe ‘Clear Sunshine Tomorrow Project’ is a project that installs specially preserved natural moss on indoor walls to improve the aesthetics and air purification of welfare facilities mainly used by vulnerable groups. S-OIL employees plan to carry out this project through volunteer activities.
S-OIL Vice President Lee Young-baek said, “Volunteer activities, which were suspended for three years due to COVID-19, have resumed this year,” adding, “S-OIL will continue to carry out various social contribution activities in cooperation with local social welfare organizations according to the needs of beneficiaries.”
Kim Seok-won, Chairman of the Ulsan Volunteer Center, said, “The active participation of S-OIL employees in volunteer activities is expected to greatly contribute to the spread of volunteer culture in Ulsan.”
