Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital has rolled up its sleeves to help vulnerable children stand on their own.
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital recently announced on the 11th that it held a business agreement ceremony for social welfare support projects and a donation ceremony with the World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters in the hospital's 5th-floor conference room.
The event was attended by Hospital Director Jeong Yong-yeon, Secretary General Ji Young-woon, World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters Director Jeong Byeong-won, and Welfare Project Team Leader Kwon Bong-min, among others.
Both organizations agreed to actively cooperate to ensure health recovery and happiness through social welfare support projects for economically disadvantaged vulnerable groups. They also plan to develop and support medical expense donations, including for foreign patients, and social contribution campaign projects.
In particular, to mark Family Month in May and to help vulnerable children facing economic difficulties stand on their own, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital participated in the “Support Campaign for Children Aging Out of Care” promoted by World Vision, donating 3 million won.
Jeong Byeong-won, Director of World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters, said, “Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital will be a great support in carrying out various projects to help vulnerable children in the local community. Especially, working together with Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, which actively practices ESG management, it is very meaningful to greatly contribute to the independence of children aging out of care and social welfare support for neighbors in need within the region.”
