Korea Exchange Conducts 1 Company 1 Village Rural Labor Support Program
About 30 Employees Volunteer in Hudong Village, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon
The Korea Exchange announced on the 10th that it conducted volunteer work to help with rural labor by planting corn seedlings in Hudong Village, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, a rural village partnered under the One Company One Village program, along with about 30 executives and employees.
Since starting the One Company One Village sisterhood partnership in 2008 with two rural villages in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, and Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, the Korea Exchange has consistently supported rural areas for 15 years through volunteer activities, village facility support, and purchasing local agricultural specialties. In 2021, it additionally established partnerships with Hudong Village in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, and Jocheon Village in Miryang-si, Gyeongnam Province to provide further support.

Chairman Son Byung-doo stated, "Exchanging and broadening understanding between rural and urban areas is the first step toward coexistence between them," adding, "We will make greater efforts to ensure that cities and rural areas can coexist and support each other through continuous mutual exchanges with Hudong Village."
