Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 10th that it will hold the "2nd GKL Video and Photo Contest - GKL, Opening the Future of Korea's Tourism Industry" from the 17th to June 30.
This contest was prepared to widely promote GKL, which contributes to Korea's tourism industry and fulfills the social responsibility of a public enterprise, to the public. The contest themes are ▲ Urban Tourism and GKL&7luck ▲ GKL's Social Contribution.
The contest categories are video (15 to 60 seconds) and photo. Anyone residing in Korea can participate. The winning works will be selected through a two-stage evaluation: first, an expert review assessing ▲ relevance to the theme and message delivery ▲ completeness of the work ▲ usability, followed by a second stage of netizen voting to choose works that meet the public’s perspective.
Prizes will be awarded to a total of 18 works: Video category Grand Prize (1), Excellence Award (2), Merit Award (3); Photo category Grand Prize (1), Excellence Award (2), Merit Award (3), and Honorable Mention (6). Prize money for the video category is 2.5 million KRW for the Grand Prize, 1 million KRW for the Excellence Award, and 500,000 KRW for the Merit Award. For the photo category, the Grand Prize is 500,000 KRW, Excellence Award 250,000 KRW, Merit Award 100,000 KRW, and Honorable Mention 50,000 KRW.
Kim Young-san, President of GKL, said, "Through this contest, we hope that GKL, which contributes to the development of the tourism industry and strives to fulfill the social role of a public enterprise, will be widely recognized by the public."
