HD Hyundai Infracore "Hiring 150 at Incheon Headquarters This Year... 40 Billion KRW Investment by Next Year"
Internship Linked to Recruitment Held at Inha University on the 17th
HD Hyundai Infracore announced on the 10th that it plans to hire about 150 employees at its Incheon headquarters this year.
The company announced that it will hold a recruitment-linked internship called 'IN x IN DAY' at Inha University Building 2 on the 17th. To achieve its vision of becoming a 'Global Top 5' company, it decided to increase hiring and investment at the Incheon plant.
Incheon area university students who apply for the recruitment-linked internship will receive benefits such as passing the document screening and being given the opportunity for the first practical interview. To attract master's and doctoral level talent, the company will also promote laboratory exchanges and the selection of industry-academia scholarship students.
HD Hyundai Infracore is increasing recruitment as its construction machinery and engine businesses perform well. In the first half of the year, it hired about 20 new employees at the Incheon plant. In the second half, it plans to hire about 150 people this year, including 60 to 70 new and experienced employees and about 60 technical staff.
Investment will also increase. The company plans to invest 40 billion KRW by next year in the medium-to-large engine production plant to transform it into a state-of-the-art electronic engine production facility. This means upgrading the medium-to-large engine plant, which was completed in 1979, after 44 years.
Ceilings, floors, walls, and internal facilities will be fully remodeled within this year. The production facility will be converted into a new assembly line producing state-of-the-art electronic engines, to be used as the main production line in the engine division going forward.
In the first quarter, HD Hyundai Infracore’s engine division recorded sales of 307.1 billion KRW, a 32.5% increase compared to the previous year, and operating profit of 49.4 billion KRW, a 75.4% increase, driven by increased demand for engines in generators, industrial use, vehicles, and defense sectors.
