RFsemi Appoints ClarionDelco Vice President as Global Battery Company COO
RF Semi, newly entering the secondary battery business, has started recruiting experts for aggressive performance growth.
On the 10th, RF Semi announced that it has hired Park Kwang-hee, Vice President of Clarios Delco (Delco Battery), as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of RF Semi's entire business division. He is a secondary battery expert who joined Sebang Group in 1994, served as the head of the Group Future Growth Office, and was CEO of Sebang Battery.
In particular, he led the establishment of Sebang Group's global subsidiaries in the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia, as well as market strategy formulation. While serving as CEO of Sebang Battery in 2015, he achieved the highest annual sales in the company's history, reaching 1 trillion KRW.
Clarios Delco (Delco Battery), where Park Kwang-hee currently holds the position of Vice President, is a battery company that has been engaged in the automotive battery business in Korea for 35 years. The maintenance-free (MF) batteries developed by Clarios Delco were ranked first in the Korean Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI) automotive battery category for 17 consecutive years. Clarios, headquartered in the United States, is a global leading battery company with annual sales of approximately 8 billion USD. It is currently pursuing an initial public offering (IPO) with a corporate value exceeding 20 billion USD.
The company stated, "Based on the expertise and know-how of COO Park Kwang-hee, who has been with world-class advanced secondary battery companies for nearly 30 years, we will successfully promote new businesses." He is expected to oversee sales consulting related to secondary battery technology and networks as well as the existing RF Semi semiconductor business.
COO Park Kwang-hee said, "It is meaningful to join RF Semi at the time it is fully launching its secondary battery business," and added, "We will closely cooperate with Jinpyeong Electronics, the largest shareholder, to expand the battery new business into domestic and global markets."

Meanwhile, RF Semi will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 22nd at its Jeonju 2nd plant in Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, to add new business purposes. The new business purposes include ▲import, development, manufacturing, and sales of battery cells and battery packs ▲import, development, manufacturing, and sales of battery materials ▲all businesses related to battery valuation and certification.
