Busan Office of Education Announces GED Passers... Oldest is 84 Years Old
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced the list of successful candidates and individual scores for the first 2023 Qualification Exam on the 9th.
Among 1,968 applicants for the elementary, middle, and high school graduation courses, 1,758 took the exam, and 1,499 passed, resulting in an average pass rate of 85.27%.
Among them, 22 candidates scored a perfect 100 points: 4 in elementary, 1 in middle, and 17 in high school courses.
The oldest successful candidates included an 84-year-old woman named Kwon for elementary, a 79-year-old man named Seo for middle, and a 73-year-old woman named Kim for high school graduation.
The list of successful candidates and individual scores can be checked on the Metropolitan Office of Education’s website. They can also be confirmed via the ARS service using the office’s main phone number.
Certificates of passing will be issued at the Metropolitan Office of Education’s General Civil Service Office from 10 a.m. on the 10th until 5 p.m. on the 12th (excluding midnight to 1 a.m. and lunch breaks). If visiting the office is difficult, certificates can also be received by applying for civil mail service at the post office.
Certificates of passing and score reports can be issued from the 9th at all school administrative offices and education office civil service centers nationwide. They can also be issued online through Government24 and the NEIS public service.

This year, the certificate awarding ceremony, which had not been held for the past three years due to COVID-19, is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on the 17th in the International Conference Room of the Metropolitan Office of Education annex, with about 60 attendees including representatives of the oldest and disabled successful candidates and their families.
