Hong Joon-pyo: "Sympathizing with Two Lost Sheep Could Sink the Party"
Regarding the ruling party's ethics committee postponing the disciplinary action against Supreme Council members Taeyongho and Kim Jaewon, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo urged decisive action, saying, "Recommend they leave the party and cut them off."
On the 9th, Mayor Hong stated through his social media (SNS), "If you impose discipline half-heartedly, there will be no justification, and the time to manage this has already passed."
He advised, "It is too damaging to only suspend their party membership rights and keep them as Supreme Council members," adding, "Wouldn't it be better to have a heavyweight figure run in the by-election at the national committee?"
