Regarding the recent decision by the Ministry of Environment to lift about 10㎢ of the Hallyeohaesang National Park area in the Gyeongnam region including Tongyeong and Namhae, he said, "This is the result of active response by the province and cities/counties together," and urged, "Please continue efforts to lift park areas for individual projects necessary for South Coast tourism development and regional advancement."
He also said, "Since large-scale events such as expos require significant financial investment, plan more carefully so that the event can be held with dignity while realizing the original purpose of the event."
Governor Park mentioned his visit last week to Haesung DS located in Changwon.
"Creating an environment where existing companies can continue their business activities and grow in Gyeongnam is as important as attracting new companies," he said.
He added, "Even small matters such as expanding public transportation within industrial complexes and improving road systems should be addressed by the administration to solve the issues desired by companies and workers," emphasizing efforts to resolve corporate difficulties.
In preparation for the government's electricity rate increase, he instructed to review and check measures to support vulnerable groups regarding the increase of essential public utility fees in daily life.
Referring to the recent trend of rising delinquency rates among companies and households due to high interest rates, he urged the Credit Guarantee Foundation to conduct thorough business management to prevent guarantee accidents.
Regarding next year's national budget, he said, "Since the Ministry of Economy and Finance will begin full-scale review from June, all-out efforts such as holding meetings with lawmakers and visiting central government ministries must be made to secure as much national funding as possible related to provincial administration issues."
