Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Urges Installation of Residential Fire Safety Equipment
Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station announced on the 8th that it urges the installation of residential fire safety equipment to reduce casualties caused by fires.
Residential fire safety equipment refers to standalone smoke detectors and fire extinguishers installed in single-family homes and apartment buildings.
Standalone smoke detectors detect smoke in the event of a fire and alert occupants, while fire extinguishers are installed to suppress fires in their early stages.
The fire department advised, "A standalone smoke detector should be installed in each compartmented room, and at least one fire extinguisher should be available per household and per floor."
