'Rebound' Wins Audience Award at Udine Far East Film Festival
The film 'Rebound' won the Silver Mulberry Audience Award at the 25th Udine Far East Film Festival, distributor Barunson E&A announced on the 8th.
Sabrina Baracetti, the executive director of the Udine Far East Film Festival, said about 'Rebound', "A convincing and detailed basketball scene, with comedic yet touching inserts that strike the heart," and added, "I appreciate the courage and honesty of the story."
The executive director stated, "It is one of the most successful films introduced during the festival, receiving a high rating of 4.60 out of 5."
The Udine Far East Film Festival, held in Udine, a city in northeastern Italy, is a festival that introduces various Asian films to the world. Previously, films such as 'Miracle', '1987', 'The Battleship Island' (2017), and 'Beasts Clawing at Straws' (2020) have received the Audience Award.

'Rebound', based on the true story of the 2012 National High School Basketball Tournament, depicts the miraculous eight-day journey of a newly appointed coach and six players of the weakest basketball team that no one paid attention to. Directed by Jang Hang-jun and starring Ahn Jae-hong and Jung Jin-woon, the film was released on the 5th of last month and attracted a cumulative audience of 685,378 by the 7th.
