The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Rural Development Administration are hosting an idea competition for the activation of rural tourism for the first time.
On the 7th, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced that it will hold a "Rural Tourism Idea Competition" for domestic university (graduate) students under the theme "Rural Tourism You Want to Visit Again and Stay Longer."
This competition is an event aimed at encouraging interest in rural tourism among the 2030 generation youth, securing related populations in rural areas, and discovering creative ideas in the field of rural tourism to overcome the crisis of rural extinction.
The competition categories include ▲ policy proposals for revitalizing rural tourism ▲ business models reflecting recent travel trends, from which participants can choose. Applications can be submitted by preparing an application form and an idea proposal or thesis and submitting them through the "Welchon Portal" website from July 24 to August 4. Detailed information on submission methods and schedules can also be found on the website.
Submitted ideas will be evaluated by judges who are experts in rural and tourism fields, assessing the originality of the theme, logical development of content, and practical applicability. Using data from the rural tourism survey conducted by the Rural Development Administration can earn additional points.
