Reusable tumblers, bags, natural soaps, and snack packages were given to all students of Ipam Elementary School, and for 30 low-income elderly living alone who either have no children or whose children are unable to provide assistance, 30,000 KRW worth of beef bulgogi meal kits and carnations were delivered by members of the Ipam-myeon Community Security Council and elderly customized care managers to substitute the touch of family. They also checked on their health and any inconveniences.
On this day, Mr. Jang (born in 1938, male) expressed his gratitude, saying, "May has always been a lonely month spent alone every year, but I am very thankful to receive carnations and beef like this."
Kang Younggil, the private sector chairman, said, "We hope this small but warm gift will bring comfort to the elderly who live alone and feel loneliness and alienation," adding, "Ipam-myeon will continue to discover various specialized projects suited to local conditions and strive to provide high-quality welfare services."
