Busan Yeongdo Police Station Conducts Factory Search Related to 'Yeongdo School Route Tragedy'
The Yeongdo Police Station in Busan conducted a search and seizure of a fishing net manufacturing factory related to the 'Yeongdo School Route Tragedy,' which resulted in four casualties, including an elementary school girl.
The factory representative, on the morning of the 28th of last month at 8:22 AM, dropped a 1.5-ton cylindrical fiber roll from a forklift while unloading it from a truck, causing the death of a third-grade elementary school girl and injuring three others.
So far, it has been confirmed that the factory representative operated the forklift without a license and carried out the work carelessly without any safety measures immediately before the accident.

A police official stated, “We are investigating overall safety issues such as the preparation of a work safety plan and the deployment of signalers,” adding, “We cannot disclose detailed information.”
