Korea National Oil Corporation and SysOne Consortium Sign MOU to Promote Safety-First Culture
Korea National Oil Corporation signed a business agreement with the SysOne Consortium on the 2nd to promote an ‘ICT Safety First Culture.’
The signing ceremony was held to strengthen the cooperative system aimed at spreading the ‘ICT Safety First Culture,’ which emphasizes safety and health on-site, to prevent the occurrence of disasters and accidents and to ensure the continuity of the corporation’s information service operations.
Based on the agreement, the Oil Corporation plans to establish preventive measures against disasters and accidents that may occur at ICT work sites and to enhance mutual cooperation with the SysOne Consortium so that safety culture is prioritized in the maintenance of computer equipment, which must respond to information system failures 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Woo Jin-ha, Head of Management Support Division at the Oil Corporation, who attended the signing ceremony, said, “Based on this agreement, we will continue cooperation and efforts between the two companies to create a safe working environment free from industrial accidents and fires and to spread a culture that prioritizes workers’ safety.”
Kim Young-joo, Executive Director of the SysOne Consortium, said, “Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we will do our best to educate our employees and those of partner companies on disaster and accident prevention measures, disseminate best practices, and improve guidelines to implement safety and health measures.”

The two companies also agreed to expand cooperation to strengthen corporate social responsibility, including coexistence with local small and medium-sized enterprises and job creation, beyond the safety and health fields.
