Prosecutors Summon KT Telecop CEO Over 'KT Bid Rigging Allegations'
The prosecution summoned Jang Ji-ho, CEO of KT Telecop, for questioning regarding the 'preferential treatment of orders' suspicion involving former KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo.
According to the legal community on the 2nd, the Fair Trade Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Jung-seop) recently called Jang and other executives as witnesses for investigation.
Previously, former CEO Koo and others were accused of funneling orders from KT Group's security affiliate KT Telecop to the facility management company KDFS. The prosecution is known to have recently identified circumstances where KT Telecop altered quality evaluation criteria for each facility management company to favor KDFS.

Former CEO Koo and others also face charges of providing illicit entertainment to outside directors to seize control of the board of directors, and of creating slush funds through methods such as inflating payment amounts at hotels owned by KT, which were then used as lobbying funds for political circles.
