Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station Announces Open Recruitment for Volunteer Firefighters Until the 19th
Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station announced on the 2nd that it will publicly recruit new volunteer firefighters who are interested in fire safety and actively participate in volunteer activities for the safety of citizens until the 19th.
New volunteer firefighters must be citizens of Gwangju Metropolitan City, residing or staying in Buk-gu, under 65 years old, physically healthy, have a strong spirit of cooperation, and possess a dedicated volunteer spirit for the development of the local community.
Priority qualifications will be given to those who are emergency medical workers, hold fire-related or information and communication certifications, or have fire-related education or experience.
Applications can be submitted in person or by mail to the Disaster 119 Response Division of Bukbu Fire Station, and for other related matters, inquiries can be made to Bukbu Fire Station.
Currently, the Bukbu Fire Station Volunteer Fire Brigade consists of 2 headquarters units, 7 regional units, and 4 specialized units, with 290 volunteer firefighters active. They perform various activities for citizen safety, including assisting at disaster sites such as fires, rescues, and first aid, as well as fire prevention campaigns, patrols, and volunteer services for elderly care.
