Employee Embezzles Customer Deposits at Seolleung Branch

It has been confirmed that a embezzlement incident involving 50 million KRW occurred at OK Savings Bank.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, at the Seolleung branch of OK Savings Bank, a teller transferred around 50 million KRW of customer deposits to their own account multiple times. The embezzlement was first discovered when a customer checked their deposit account on the 27th of last month. The employee is currently known to be working in a different department.
OK Savings Bank recognized the issue and immediately took recovery measures. An internal investigation is currently underway, and criminal charges against the employee are also being considered.
A representative of OK Savings Bank stated, "This is a minor incident involving an individual employee's misconduct," adding, "Since it directly affects the company's credibility, we plan to respond strictly with a zero-tolerance policy."
