Incheon City Provides 1.2 Million KRW Welfare Points to Young Employees in Small and Medium Enterprises
Incheon City is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis until the 31st to provide welfare points to young people working in small and medium-sized enterprises.
The welfare points program aims to encourage long-term employment among youth by addressing dissatisfaction with welfare benefits, which is a major cause of early resignation.
Eligible applicants are workers aged 18 to 39 who have joined small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in Incheon after January 1, 2020, have worked for more than three months, and have an annual contract salary of 32 million KRW or less this year.
The city plans to select 1,500 people on a first-come, first-served basis and provide a total of 1.2 million KRW in welfare points, divided into four payments of 300,000 KRW each over one year. Welfare points can be used as a payment method on online welfare mall sites for dining out, watching movies and plays, health management, self-development, and more.
Since its launch in 2018, the welfare points program has helped improve the welfare of more than 5,000 young people, and the city reported a consistently high satisfaction rate exceeding 90%.
Incheon City has expanded the number of recruits from 1,000 to 1,500 this year to allow more young people to benefit, and simplified the document submission process on the application site for applicants' convenience.
