Over 400 Attendees Participate in Hwangtogol Community Yard Event

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held the Hwangtogol Autonomous Square on the 28th of last month at the Namak Complex Community Center Grand Auditorium, with about 400 residents and public officials in attendance.

According to the county on the 2nd, the event featured a lecture by Lee Sang-deuk, a senior researcher at Dongshin University Regional Development Research Institute, on the topic "Responding to Climate Change: The Concept and Necessity of Carbon Neutrality."

This training was organized to understand the current status of Muan-gun's carbon neutrality initiatives, raise awareness among residents about climate change, and further motivate participation in actions necessary to achieve carbon neutrality.

Lecturer Lee Sang-deuk explained △the concept of carbon neutrality △the current status of Muan-gun's carbon neutrality initiatives △methods to practice carbon neutrality, using various visual examples and cases to make it easy for residents to understand.

He especially emphasized, "It is necessary for many residents to participate in order to create an eco-friendly, low-carbon city that can respond to the current climate change," raising awareness about the importance of responding to climate change.

Governor Kim San said, "Amid the serious climate crisis, let us realize carbon neutrality through the individual actions of public officials and residents and continuous efforts to protect the Earth."
