Yongin City Operates Child Meal Card Usage System on Gyeonggi-do Public Delivery App
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will pilot a system starting in May that allows the use of child meal cards on 'Baedal Teukgeup,' Gyeonggi Province's public delivery app.
This system was developed as part of a platform selected last year by Gyeonggi Province in a contest hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency for the 'Establishment of a Non-Face-to-Face Life Care Platform for Vulnerable Groups.'
This platform enables the use of child meal cards, which were previously only available for in-person payments, on 'Baedal Teukgeup,' Gyeonggi Province's public delivery app.
Starting from the 1st of this month, the province will pilot the system allowing children holding child meal cards in Yongin City and Uiwang City to order and pay for food using their cards, with a daily limit of up to 20,000 KRW.
Payments can be made within the preloaded amount on the meal card, and delivery fees will be supported during the pilot period by providing coupons worth up to 3,000 KRW through 'Baedal Teukgeup.'
In addition to online order payments, the platform offers convenient features such as location-based merchant search services, a one-on-one Q&A board, payment pattern analysis, and nutrition analysis functions to assist children using the meal cards.
