Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Announces Open Recruitment for Volunteer Firefighters
The Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station will publicly recruit volunteer firefighters until the 19th of next month.
The volunteer fire brigade is a legally established volunteer organization that assists firefighting activities at various disaster sites such as fires, rescues, and first aid, and works to ensure citizen safety through community service activities.
Eligibility to apply is open to any resident living or working in Gwangsan-gu who is physically healthy and possesses a strong spirit of sacrifice and volunteerism.
Those selected as volunteer firefighters can receive various benefits, including exemption from civil defense unit formation, assembly allowances, scholarships for children, and provision of uniforms.
