Yeonggwang-gun Successfully Concludes 'Jeonnam-Style Youth Community Performance Sharing Meeting'

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 1st that the ‘2022 Jeonnam-type Youth Community Performance Sharing Meeting’ was successfully held on the 27th of last month.

This event was held to conclude the ‘2022 Jeonnam-type Youth Community Revitalization Project,’ which involved about 50 young people from Yeonggwang forming 10 teams and starting with a launch ceremony in November 2022. It was organized to share experiences from seven months of activities and to promote exchange and cooperation among youth communities.

The event provided a meaningful time to share the activities of each team, which were actively engaged in various fields, along with self-produced videos, fostering attachment to their hometown and appreciation of the local charm as key actors in the community.

Additionally, four outstanding youth communities were selected and awarded through on-site presentations and evaluations by judges.

The team ‘Jayeonseureopge’ (Naturally), selected as the best youth community, is a youth club interested in health. They strengthened their community capabilities through health/vegetarian-related studies and food culture experiences, and practiced sharing activities by producing healthy and delicious snack lunch boxes made from local agricultural products.

A county official stated, “This occasion to hear various research and activity stories by young people working together to revitalize the region is very meaningful. We express our gratitude to the youth and will continue to strive to implement various youth-friendly policies to support their active participation and settlement in the region.”
