Uljin-gun Selected for a Total of 4 Village Enterprise Development Projects in Gyeongbuk Province This Year
Two Preliminary and Two New Village Enterprises
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, announced that a total of four village enterprises were selected in the 2023 Gyeongbuk Province Village Enterprise Development Project competition, including two preliminary village enterprises and two new village enterprises.
In 2023, Uljin County was selected for a total of four locations in the Gyeongbuk Province Village Enterprise Development Project. (Uljin Mothers was selected as a preliminary village enterprise)
View original imageThe preliminary village enterprises selected were Uljin Mothers and Howol 3-ri Youth Association, while the new village enterprises selected were Agricultural Corporation Sinheung 2-ri Baramgil Flower Village and Sangol Dream Agricultural Cooperative Corporation. The selected enterprises will receive project funding of 20 million KRW for preliminary enterprises and 50 million KRW for new enterprises.
The Village Enterprise Development Project is a government-funded initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing village-level enterprises established and operated by local residents to effectively realize the benefits of the local community by solving common regional problems and creating income and jobs through profit-making businesses utilizing various local resources. The project is categorized into stages of preliminary, new, re-designated, and advanced based on growth phases.
Preliminary village enterprises are designated by the provincial governor as a preparatory stage to discover and nurture competitive and well-prepared village enterprises with identity and business feasibility. New, re-designated, and advanced village enterprises are designated by the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
