LG Electronics Holds Robot Classes in 'Future Classroom'... Collaboration with Google
Google Educational Software Platform 'Classroom'-Based Classes
Experiential Education Using Electronic Whiteboards, Robots, and Plant Life Appliances
LG Electronics recently announced on the 1st that it has created the 'LG-Google Future Classroom' for the first time at Bupyeong Elementary School in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with Google. Bupyeong Elementary is a leading school in artificial intelligence (AI) education.
The Future Classroom is a space optimized for digital education. Classes are conducted using Google's educational software platform 'Classroom'-based electronic whiteboards, educational laptops Chromebook, tablet PCs Ultra Tab, and Chloe robots. Google Classroom is a learning platform that allows sharing of class materials and schedules, submitting assignments, and conducting video classes. It can be used on PCs, smartphones, tablets, etc., with just a Google account.

An LG electronic whiteboard was installed in the classroom. With simple operation, it can easily switch between whiteboard, video, presentation materials, and more. It provides various educational templates such as shapes and charts to help conduct efficient lessons. The 86-inch large touchscreen supports up to 40 multi-touch points. Using the pre-installed app 'LG CreateBoard Share,' classes can be conducted while viewing up to nine screens simultaneously. This is useful when sharing students' work.
The LG Chloe Guidebot is also deployed. It supports computer programming and AI education. Students can create applications to control the robot, move it, or display videos or images they made directly on the robot’s front and rear 27-inch displays. Additionally, students experience smart farm life by growing various companion plants with LG’s plant lifestyle appliance, LG Tiun. When teachers upload students’ learning content created during class to Classroom, parents can check the class content from home.
