Park Ji-won "Korea-US Summit, Only Telling What the US Wants to Hear... Kim Tae-hyo Must Step Down"
"IRA, Give All Semiconductors and Batteries"
"Kim Tae-hyo 1st Deputy Director's 'De Facto Nuclear Sharing' Announcement
Denied by US NSC Director... Consecutive Diplomatic Failures"
Former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won argued on the 30th that Kim Tae-hyo, the First Deputy Director of the Presidential Security Office, should step down for the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's diplomacy to survive.
On this day, former Director Park posted on Facebook a message titled "Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director, must step down taking responsibility for the failure of the South Korea-US and South Korea-Japan summits for Yoon Suk-yeol's diplomacy to survive," expressing this view.
Former Director Park said, "The South Korea-Japan summit only exchanged words Japan wanted to hear, and the South Korea-US summit also ended up with only what the US wanted to hear," adding, "There was nothing that our people wanted to hear or say."
He criticized, "We gave away everything on IRA, semiconductors, and batteries. When Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director of the Presidential Office, announced the NCC agreement as 'de facto nuclear sharing,' the US NSC director immediately denied it," and added, "When leaving for the US, the problem was the subject, and now the obsession with terminology is the problem. They are treating the people like fools."
He continued, "The only thing that has become certain is the US's compliance with South Korea's NPT," and said, "There is expected backlash from some domestic conservatives who advocated nuclear armament redeployment and independent nuclear development. The president's unnecessary remarks on Taiwan relations provoked China, giving a pretext for severe economic retaliation in the future, and it is interpreted that support for Ukraine's weapons was virtually promised."
Former Director Park also said, "Trade with Russia is also a problem, but there is concern about Russia's support for North Korea's ICBMs, which are 2% short, due to the strengthening of the North Korea-China-Russia bloc in the future."
He pointed out, "The 'kneeling' mentioned by President Yoon in the WP (Washington Post) interview was not Japan kneeling, but us. The alliance eavesdropping issue disappeared, leaving only the fluent congressional English speech, American Pie, and the signature of the president's spouse Kim Geon-hee as fragments."
He then shared an anecdote, saying, "According to what I heard from US sources, it was a coordinated 'American Pie' from the beginning, so the guitar signed by the composer was prepared, and the next verse of the part President Yoon passionately sang was rewritten and often sung by Biden's eldest son. If President Yoon had not sung one more verse, President Biden was also going to perform a duet," adding, "Foolish Presidential Office?"

Former Director Park emphasized, "In the end, the South Korea-US summit also failed following the South Korea-Japan summit. The Presidential Security Office and Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director, are involved in all these places," and stressed, "We must reflect on the consecutive diplomatic failures and re-strategize South Korea's national interest."
