According to the police, 12 members of Daejinyeon entered Tae's constituency office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 3 p.m. that day.
The Daejinyeon members who occupied the office condemned Tae's recent remarks regarding the Jeju 4.3 Uprising. Previously, Tae had been criticized for stating that the Jeju 4.3 Uprising was triggered under the orders of the Kim Il-sung family.
They held banners with slogans such as "Tae Young-ho, who distorts history, resign immediately" and "Tae Young-ho, the anti-unification division deep-rooted evil, go back to North Korea" while conducting the occupation protest. They also sat on the office floor chanting slogans like "Tae Young-ho resign" and "Go back to North Korea." Daejinyeon broadcast the protest live on YouTube that day.
