The event was part of LH's social contribution activities for sustainable development, attended by LH executives and employees, Gyeongnam Volunteer Center, and Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea officials. With a donation of 60 million KRW from LH, 1,270 trees including rose family species were planted in Miryang, an area affected by wildfires last year.
An LH official stated, “To practice ESG environmental management, from 2022 to 2050, we plan to plant more than 5,000 trees annually in wildfire-affected areas, totaling 150,000 trees.” He added, “Once the 150,000-tree carbon offset forest is established, it will reduce 375,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 270,000 tons of fine dust.”
