Dog Shop Owner Sent to Prosecution for Deceiving Customers with Purebred Dogs
The owner of a pet shop who deceived customers by selling dogs as purebred has been referred to the prosecution.
The Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 26th that Mr. A was sent on charges of fraud.
Mr. A is accused of selling three popular dog breeds, including the 'Cotton de Tulear,' as purebreds to two victims at his pet shop in Dong-gu, Gwangju, from April to August last year, for a large sum of money.
The victims conducted genetic testing after noticing that their dogs showed traits different from purebreds as they grew, and upon confirming that the dogs were mixed breeds, they filed a complaint with the police.
It is reported that Mr. A denied the charges, claiming he was unaware that the dogs were not purebred.
