Yamaha Music Korea Appoints 'Matsuoka Yuji' as New CEO
Global musical instrument and audio specialist Yamaha Music Korea announced on the 26th that it has appointed Matsuoka Yuji as its new CEO.
CEO Matsuoka Yuji is a veteran in marketing management with extensive business know-how and rich international experience, having served as head of branches in four countries worldwide. After graduating from Kobe University, he earned a master's degree in business administration from Bond University in Australia. He joined Yamaha in 1993 and worked at Yamaha Spain and Yamaha France before serving as Marketing Manager in the Electronic Instruments Marketing Department at Yamaha Corporation. He held branch manager positions at Yamaha Europe Poland in 2011 and Yamaha Europe Italy in 2012, and has been president of Yamaha Music Brazil since 2020.
Since April 2023, CEO Matsuoka Yuji has been assigned to Yamaha Music Korea. He is also a member of Yamaha Corporation's orchestra band, the "Yamaha Symphonic Band," which was formed in 1961. He is known for his excellent piano skills, passion for music, and strong interest in the development of music culture.

CEO Matsuoka said, "It is an honor to be appointed as CEO in the Korean market, where outstanding artists and the public's high level of cultural awareness are impressive," adding, "Based on the business know-how I have developed in various countries such as Europe and Brazil, I want to not only meet the needs of domestic consumers but also contribute to the development of Korean music culture."
