SKT Collaborates with Golfzon to Integrate AI Technology into Golf Tournaments
SK Telecom announced on the 26th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Golfzon for 'collaboration on integrating golf platforms and artificial intelligence (AI)'.
SKT and Golfzon plan to collaborate at the ‘SK Telecom Open 2023,’ which opens on the 18th of next month. The two companies will hold the 'SK Telecom Open Amateur Championship,' where amateur golfers compete using the Jeju Pinx Golf Club, the venue of the tournament, as the background at Golfzon stores.
The preliminary rounds of the tournament will continue until the 14th of next month. On the 21st, the top qualifiers will compete in an offline tournament at Golfzon Joymaru in Daejeon to determine the winner. At the 'SK Telecom Open' site, SKT plans to showcase the 'AI Human One-Point Lesson' service to the gallery, which integrates SKT’s AI Human technology with Golfzon’s GDR technology.
Meanwhile, the two companies will continue their collaboration based on AI technology in the golf field.

Kim Hyuk, head of media partnerships at SKT, said, “SKT and Golfzon will discover new growth engines through the combination of AI technology and golf platforms,” adding, “Through active cooperation between the two companies, we will develop new services to provide enjoyment to customers.”
